In this day and age that cost will come back 100 times over.

I've seen him several times and each was undescribable, words don't do it justice.(think I was talkin the Greeks or something-LOL)
He is a genius and a majikian of Jerry caliber or higher.

I hope he wears the "Fire Suite", you'll know what I mean if he does!

Enjoy that will be a major treat!!!

I saw David Byrne in Dec and it was amazing. Surpassed my high expectations, a great time was had by all.
At demonoid there is an uploading torrent of a DVD from a concert he did in November 08.

Did I say the D word? Everyone, quick, cover your eyes.

Did I mention seeing him a month or two back? Absolutely worth every penny ($65 for fifth row seats!).

Great, great show. Not as energetic as early 80s, but real entertaining.

No, but I just listened to one song that was streamable from his site. I may have to go out and purchase the disk to get familiar with the new material before showtime.

You'll be pretty damn familiar with the stuff - people are saying his best post T-Heads' tour yet (which, isn't really post Heads when you see the set lists).

SPOILER ALERT:

(he mixes it up a little, but this has been a fairly normal list for the tour):

Strange Overtones / I Zimbra / One Fine Day / Help Me Somebody / Houses in Motion / My Big Nurse / My Big Hands (Fall Through the Cracks) / Heaven / Home / The River / Crosseyed & Painless / Life is Long / Once in a Lifetime / Life During Wartime / I Feel My Stuff / Take Me to the River / The Great Curve / Everything that Happens Will Happen Today

If you get a chance pick up the Eno-Byrne CD

My life in the Bush of Ghosts

http://www.bush-of-ghosts.com/

It looks like you can download it for free! Byrnes does a lot with creative commons so I am not surprized. Now I don't feel so bad for burning my library copy and sampling him in a song I put up here.

And if you want to get ready for the new government I found some tools that can help as well.

I think they are real...

My favorite thing he ever did - and i love how you can remix on their site. Played that for a bunch of folks after New Years 83 into 84 (when still called the SF Civic); lets just say some got quickly irritated and demanded I turn that shit off. Help me somebody!

yeah see, now THAT is more reasonable.

a) he's still out there experimenting
b) it's Radio City Music Hall not corporate sports complex.

Seen the Heads in 1982 at the U.S. Festival. Think it was like $70.00 for the whole weekend... dust and all.... even watch my neighbor dance a hole in the ground friday night. I was honored to guard her hole when she took a potty break.
